A beautifully toned drachm from Histiaia

EUBOIA. Histiaia. Circa 350-300 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 3.38 g, 12 h). Head of the nymph Histiaia to right, wearing wreath of grape leaves and berries. Rev. ΙΣΤΙ Bull standing right; behind, grapevine with two grape bunches; to right, monogram. BCD Euboia 373. SNG Copenhagen 516. Beautifully toned. The obverse struck slightly off center and with light scratches, otherwise, very fine.

From the collection of J.B. Haarhuis, ex Hess-Divo 3, 21 May 2012, 142 and Hirsch 284, 26 September 2012, 2352 (with old collector's ticket) and previously from a German collection, formed before 2011.
